Unusual
model Jaeger Le Coultre Reverso Grande
Taille full size hand wound wristwatch
featuring the high grade 822 calibre
Jaeger movement which was specially
made to be used in the Grand Taille
case. This watch is quite an
unusual model as it has polished
and satinzed steel case and 2 tone
black and grey dial with luminous
hour markers and no subsidiary seconds
dial, this watch was probably
a limited edition model. The
watch on original grey ostrich
leather strap with Jaeger buckle. A
watch in very good condition and
appears to have been hardly used.
Unusual
and rare Jaeger Le Coultre very
early quartz wrist watch. Circa
1970 this watch was the first quartz
wristwatch by Jaeger Le Coultre
and was made for Jaeger by Girard
Perregaux as at this time only Girard
Perregaux and Piaget were the only
Swiss manufacturers who made a quartz
wrist watch (Seiko were the first
to commercially produce a quartz
watch "The Astron" in 1969.
As Girard Perregaux and Piaget
were the first to produce a quartz
movement, a lot of the other Watch
Houses panicked and thought they
were going to be left out in the
cold and that the mechanical watches
would be phased out, as we now know
this didn't happen, but with the
arrival of quartz watches it changed
the world of watches forever. This
watch is in very good condition
with quite an unusual dial and comes
complete with original box and even
the original price tag of $260. An
interesting time piece. Diameter
